Path that led to working at DTS: I graduated from East High in 2014 and went directly into DMPS as a Metro Kids Caregiver. I worked for Metro Kids until I moved to Valdosta, GA in 2019, but moved back in 2021 and resumed my role in Metro as an Enrichment Leader. In 2023, I pursued a different support position in DMPS as the office manager for the Downtown School.
Favorite thing about Downtown School or Education: Celebrating all the different kinds of successes of families and students that are experienced in schools.
Hi! My name is Josie Snow, RN, and I am the school nurse at Downtown School and Walnut Street Elementary. I received my BSN at the University of Iowa and have 11 years of experience as a pediatric nurse. I started with DMPS in 2024. I live in the Des Moines area with my husband and our rescue dog, Lazy Bones. When not at work I love to go for walks, garden, and relax with a good book. I am looking forward to a great school year!
