Downtown School teachers and staff were recently featured in the districtwide employee health newsletter. The article commended their creative effort to keep everyone engaged in personal health and well-being. Downtown students wore special shades, make pin hole cameras and watched NASA’s live stream as a new-in-their-lifetime event unfolded in front of them. Thank you to all of the parents and staff who donated glasses and treats, the teachers who incorporated this amazing event into their lesson plan and saw to the safety of our students, and to our amazing students for their enthusiasm, soaking up the celestial wonder of #Eclipse2017.
