Book Swap Day Returns to DTS

Starting Tuesday, Sept. 1, students can bring in a gently used, age appropriate book from home and swap it for a “new to them” book. Book swap will be Tuesday mornings from 7:50-8:15 in the lobby space between the library and the culminating event room. Be sure to check in your classroom first, then come to book swap!

Des Moines Public Schools is pleased to offer online registration to Downtown School families and families across the district. Each year, parents will receive an email though their Infinite Campus account with a personalized link to begin the online registration process. New families should check with the school office for instructions.

DTS’s Molly Sweeney Co-Authors Book

Molly Sweeney co-authored “Transforming the Task with Number Choice”, published by the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics. Sweeney has a Masters of Elementary Education from Viterbo University. She teaches 9-10 year-olds and is involved with mathematics development for all grades at DTS.
