Battle of the Books Champions
On April 19th, Annika Baker, Blythe Ennis, Lilly Fiihr, Darian Hayes, Jasmine Rumley, and Jolie Seitz participated in the final round of the Battle of the Books competition, which featured KCCI journalist Marcus McIntosh reading the questions. The team competed against Madison Elementary, Pleasant Hill and Studebaker Elementary for the overall championship. The Downtown School is very proud to share the team came in FIRST PLACE!
Each of the six DTS team members read all 40 books themselves, which has never happened in the history of Battle of the Books. All members of the team worked very hard and put forth amazing effort as they prepared for and participated in all the levels of competition. Excellent work team!
